Common questions
When are wasps most active in Melbourne?
Late summer through autumn is peak season — nests reach maximum size and European wasps become aggressive around food, bins and outdoor dining. Spring is the best time to knock out new nests while they're small.
Can I remove a wasp nest myself?

Most accessible nests are treated and removed within the hour on site. Wall-cavity and roof-void nests can take longer because the nest has to be located and treated at its entry points.
What if the nest is inside a wall cavity or roof void?
Common for European wasps. We treat the entry points with registered products so returning workers carry the treatment into the nest — never seal the hole first, as trapped wasps will chew through interior walls. Once activity stops we advise on proofing the entry.
Do you remove bees as well?
Where honeybees are involved we identify the species first and advise on relocation options — bees are valuable pollinators and extermination is a last resort. Wasps get no such courtesy.
